People of God, on this day of fasting and prayer called by Franklin Graham, son of late, great evangelist, Billy Graham, please join me in prayer to break specific curses off of our nation!
First, though, I want to remind you of The Blessing given to us last Winter/Spring by Steven Furtick and Elevation Worship. It is powerful, a blessing from the Fathers heart, and His Word, for us! Soak in His blessing before we seek Him for America.
Taking principles from John Eckhardt’s masterful, Prayers that Break Curses, let’s take down specific strongholds revealed in Scripture through prayer for our nation, while we are at spiritual “full power” because of fasting!
This kind only comes out through prayer and fasting. Mark 9:29
In my name shall they cast out devils. Mark 16:17
Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Matthew 18:18
Shake yourself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose yourself from the bands of your neck, O captive daughter of Zion. Isaiah 52:2
John Eckhardt quoted the Isaiah 52:2 verse and said this is a prophetic word to the church! And I’m adding, to America, the land of His people, the daughter of God!
Prayer to Break Curses off America
Holy Spirit of Christ, we surrender to You, fill us completely! Give us Your mind, Your wisdom, and Your heart to pray for America today. Come between us and Your enemies, protect us and our families even now as we war on behalf of Your kingdom in Your nation!
Father, we need You like never before. Our people have gotten distracted, selfish and cold, blind to truth and even violent. Many pursue other gods instead of You. Satan has had too many victories, and we choose now to fight for our freedom from his evil designs. It is time to cast every curse back to hell and we want to welcome back a fresh wave of spiritual revival! In that light, we ask You for the following:
Break off of America the spirit of Idolatry, the temptation to serve ‘other gods’, by Jesus’ power and in His name!
Break off of America the seduction of Jezebel! Remove those spirits who teach evil is good. Bind and cast back to hell spirits who dishonor marriage and the life of babies in the womb! Restore a respect for Biblical marriage and the sanctity of life in our country. By Jesus’ power and in His name!
Break off of America a seared conscience. Open every eye that can be opened to the wretched condition of our souls and laws that have derailed Biblical principles. Soften hearts to once again receive Your word and bring repentance. By Jesus’ power and in His name!
Break off of America spirits of Infirmity!! Lord, break not only COVID-19 off of our land, but break off every other sickness and disease that has been put upon us by curse from hell! Loose the Great Physician’s healing and restoration into the lives of Your people and Your land. By Jesus’ power and in His name!
Break off of America spirits of selfish pleasure and addictions. Lord, bind every spirit that keeps pleasure first and foremost in the minds of American people. Reveal every greedy and wicked motive in the culture, through advertising, in entertainments, etc, that tell us we should be proud. Restore a spirit of humility in America. Loose the bonds of addiction in this land and send those chains back to hell by Your rebuke. By Jesus’ power and in His name!
Break off of America spirits bringing curses of rape and sexual abuse. Set us free from the seething pits of violent sexual networks. Expose and bring to justice, break every chain of this off our people. By Jesus’ power and in His name!
Break off of America spirits bringing curses of pedophilia and pornography! God, stop at nothing to rescue the innocent babies, children, and all used and destroyed by pornography. Break up every criminal individual and network and bring them to swift justice. Bring healing to the victims, and set our land free from these cursing spirits! By Jesus’ power and in His name!
Break off of America spirits that bring lawlessness and rebellion! Jesus, bind and remove every demonic spirit bringing the evils of lawlessness and rebellion to American cities. Also, overturn every elected or appointed leader that refuses to enforce laws and thereby fans flames of rebellion! Restore our nation to law and justice! By Jesus’ power and in His name!
Break off of America spirits that bring curses of ungodly soul (or nation) ties and godlessness. God break all ties with America that are secretly destructive, that are working against us. Replace them with friends and allies who know You and have our best interests at heart. By Jesus’ power and in His name!
Break off of America every wicked plot against the people of God! Holy One, surround Your people with extra layers of Heaven’s protection. Break the chains of the spirits devising wicked plots against Your family. Send them back to hell by Your rebuke and instead loose divine freedom into Your body, for Your glory! By Jesus’ power and in His name!
Break off of America the spiritual curse of Belial! Break every relationship not ordained of God, all relationships based on control, domination, and manipulation! Crush relationships based on lust and deception! Loose every child of God, our churches, and our land from all curses and plots of hell! Restore worship of none other than the One God, the God of Israel, Isaac, and Jacob: JESUS, Yeshua Hamashiach! By Jesus’ power and in His matchless, holy name we say AMEN!
We declare to all warring against God’s people and His nation: “God is on our side. . . You might as well give up. There’s no way you can defeat the Lord.” 2 Chronicles 13:12
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord. Isaiah 54:17
Loose yourselves and be free, people of God! Jesus, Your Deliverer, rises with healing in His wings! America, breathe freedom again, and make it ring!
[Addendum: when I began this article, I made sure I was listening to The Blessing (video above), and just as I was finishing and posting the article, my worship playlist (several songs later) had rolled to Break Every Chain by Jesus Culture. This is no accident! It is by the hand of God, a message of assurance to His people, a promise of His power responding to our prayers! How amazing is our God!]
