On this National Day of Prayer, we have chosen to share a very unusual story. It is a true account according to historical records, and it is profound.
In the earliest centuries AD (CE), after Constantine turned the Roman empire Christian, his nephew, Julian, after inheriting the throne, intended to wipe out Christianity. He decided to rebuild the Jewish temple to turn the people’s attention away from Christ and, well, let’s just say God apparently felt some kind of way about it. I believe America might learn something from this ancient bit of history. 1) Don’t walk away from Jesus, 2) Don’t elevate anything above the faith that celebrates Him as Savior and Lord; and 3) Really, really don’t defy God or His spoken Word.

Father, we adore You. We praise Your holy name. Forgive us for failing You and Your people every time we get off track from the central of Your plan: JESUS. Pleae have mercy upon us, and upon America. Lord, please re-center our people and ultimately, Your nation, back to Your plan of salvation and wisdom for life. There is no one better than You, no one wiser or greater. Jesus, we proclaim You EVERYTHING, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God, and You are our Lord. In Your mighty name, Jesus, we ask all for America… Amen.
