14 “…who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this? 15 Then Esther replied… go, gather all God’s people and fast for three days…” Esther 4:14-15
American believers, in the most unusual year in many of our lives, we have a Presidential election in exactly two weeks. This election promises to be one of the most contentious in American history. So much is at stake.
Will you join us here at Faith and Fasting to fast for three days (72 hours) before the election? We plan to begin fasting at sundown on October 31, and complete our fast at sundown on Tuesday, November 3 (election day).
I am excited to also say I have heard of others who, by election day, will have been fasting 21 days! And Franklin Graham has urged all believers to fast and pray on Sunday, October 25. FYI, we at FAF have also been fasting once a week since June.
Whichever type of fast you choose, please play a part in seeing God’s will come to fruition in America. We are part of His plan. He speaks, we act, and His rewards follow.

What is at Stake? Why Trump?
In America, many Spirit-filled prophets have heard from the Lord that Trump is still His anointed choice. We understand Trump is not a shiny follower of Christ and not even a polished politician, but he is a strong protector of God’s people and the unborn. In God’s eyes, that is enough.
The other candidate is not a defender of human life. He and his running mate have promised to defend a woman’s choice to kill the baby in her womb, even up to 9 months grown and ready to be born.
Anyone who respects both science and common sense, not to mention followers of Christ everywhere, cannot pretend abortion is anything other than the killing of a human life. Where that tiny life resides does not matter. ABORTION EXTINGUISHES A HUMAN LIFE.
Many ask, “Well what if the mother was raped? Shouldn’t she have the right to ‘terminate the pregnancy’?”
I’ll only ask one question in response: Does an innocent baby deserve the death penalty for the actions of a criminal?
Life is terribly hard. It serves up injury, wounds by the hands of other humans. The greatest challenge of life, of maturity, is to overcome injustice with love, with forgiveness. True justice demands NOT punishing the innocent. The baby is the most innocent of all.
If a mother cannot raise the child, at least give it life and the chance to be loved in another home. Adoption is the only humane option. It is the Divine choice.
Scripture tells us conception is by the hand of God. Conception! It tells us God “knew” us in our mother’s womb! The Creator of human life adores His creation, sees each life conceived as precious and for a purpose.
For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made… Psalm 139:13
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you…” Jeremiah 1:5
In Amos 1:13, God says He will not relent of destroying those who would rip open the womb of a pregnant woman!
“For three sins of Ammon, even for four, I will not relent. Because he ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead in order to extend his borders…”
Having brought the value of the most innocent human lives back into the American consciousness, Donald Trump returned the favor of God upon America. Under his leadership, and I believe primarily because of his defense of human life, the American economy soared back to life.
Isn’t that interesting? Sowing the value of life in a nation reaped economic life in that same nation.
Unemployment for all people groups in America were at the lowest levels in our history. That is, until COVID-19 came to our shores.
God’s choice, Donald Trump, the one who defends the innocent, will keep God’s favor upon us and bring our economy back again. Recovery is already underway. But we must act to protect our nation’s restoration, not just for economic recovery, but for spiritual renewal and a return to Biblical values.
Fasting turns up spiritual strength, divine power, to maximum. In a great spiritual battle, it is the ultimate weapon.
“This kind only goes out by prayer and fasting.” Mark 9:29 (Jesus, answering the disciples’ question as to why they could not kick out one particular demon.)
Esther called upon her people to fast and pray as a means to defend themselves and restore their nation. Let’s follow their example for the sake of God’s nation, America! Will you be part of His plan?
