Every day, I see or hear new and surprising ways the Lord reaches out to His children. A friend recently told me the Lord spoke through the act of freeing a little bird trapped in his garage. The act of setting it free pierced his mind and soul with truth.
The Lord is in the business of setting His people free! Remember, no fallen sparrow escapes His notice!
Well, today something very unusual happened to me. I had been sitting in my living room for at least an hour and during that time noticed nothing out of place.
Then, I got up momentarily, and when I returned, there was a book sticking out noticeably from under a stack of items and blankets. That book had been there for weeks, maybe months. Until now, it has never been out of place.
My first typical human response was to dismiss it as nothing. But my spirit pushed back with, wait, this is unusual, pull out the book and see if the Lord intended you to see it.
When I pulled out the book, it was a commentary book about Isaiah by J. Vernon McGee. I had long forgotten it was there.
My first thought was that I should see what he said about a favorite verse I’ve been quoting recently from Isaiah 54. But this particular commentary covered only the first half of Isaiah. So, in looking for the end of the book, I was led straight to chapter 35.
Guys, the concepts from Isaiah 35 jumped, leaped off the page. Chapter 35 is a powerful chapter of reassurance over what the Lord is doing, His plan for our future! Take a look:
The wilderness and the [1]wasteland shall be glad for them,
And the desert[2] shall rejoice and blossom as the rose;
2 It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice,
Even with joy and singing.
The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it,
The excellence of Carmel and Sharon.
They shall see the glory of the Lord,
The excellency of our God.
3 Strengthen the [3]weak hands,
And make firm the [4]feeble knees.
4 Say to those who are fearful-hearted,
“Be strong, do not fear!
Behold, your God will come with vengeance,
With the recompense of God;
He will come and save you.”
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
6 Then the lame shall leap like a deer,
And the tongue of the dumb sing.
For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness,
And streams in the desert.
7 The parched ground shall become a pool,
And the thirsty land springs of water;
In the habitation of jackals, where each lay,
There shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
8 A highway shall be there, and a road,
And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness.
The unclean shall not pass over it,
But it shall be for others.
Whoever walks the road, although a fool,
Shall not go astray.
9 No lion shall be there,
Nor shall any ravenous beast go up on it;
It shall not be found there.
But the redeemed shall walk there,
10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return,
And come to Zion with singing,
With everlasting joy on their heads.
They shall obtain joy and gladness,
And sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Isaiah 35:1-10
Never give up hope for your life, nor for America, friends! Never stop praying for her, with fasting as you are led, not just for this election, but also beyond the election! God is working, and He is not finished yet!

Don’t forget, we will be fasting for three days for the election beginning sundown, October 31, through sundown, November 3rd. We will post suggested items to pray for, actual prayers and encouragement during those days. We would love to have as many as possible praying and fasting with us for this final countdown to the election.
God bless America and the people of God!
