Friends, I have taken down previous posts containing Pastor Dana Coverstone’s videos. Of course, anyone still wishing to view them can continue to find them on YouTube. I apologize to readers who have viewed them here on Faith and Fasting and been frightened.
However, know I DO think Pastor Dana is having authentic, symbolic dreams about events in America. But interpreting the symbols is where everything hinges. I suspect some things may have been presented as extreme when they shouldn’t have been quite as extreme.
Dreams contain both literal and symbolic imagery. It takes a lot of time to work out our own symbolic dream language and to learn the difference. Ecclesiastes warns dreamers not to speak before we’ve worked them out.
“For the (prophetic) dream hath come (been understood) by abundance of business (hard work)….” Ecclesiastes 5:3
Please know I appreciate Pastor Dana and I think his dreams have and are absolutely being used by God to prepare and call the people of God to prayer. Just take caution before applying them in broad or extremely dramatic fashion to the whole of America.
Something I try to live by, as a new prophetic dreamer of only a few years: 1) be 100% sure to know what has been seen before revealing it, and 2) calm myself emotionally before sharing potentially negative news. People need spiritual leaders to exhibit strength and confidence in the Lord even in the face of crisis.
As for the future, know the Lord is with us. And I agree with Pastor Dana in saying, hang on for the ride and stay in Him, stay in prayer.
“I’ve told you this so that my peace will be with you. In the world you’ll have trouble. But be of good cheer! I have overcome the world.” (Jesus – John 16:33)
Expect miracles, especially when surrendered, filled with His Spirit (ask Him every day), and praying “without ceasing” (i.e., ongoing). Remember Who our Bridegroom is, the Lion of Judah, and He is for us!
