Pastor Dana Coverstone – Response

Friends, I have taken down all posts containing Pastor Dana Coverstone’s videos and will not share them going forward. I apologize to all readers who have viewed them here on Faith and Fasting and been frightened. Of course, anyone still wishing to view them can continue to find them on YouTube.

The Lord revealed to me over time that those videos are imparting a spirit of fear. While I believe Pastor Coverstone was sincere and meant well, and I think he is a Seer (has the ability to receive dreams and visions from the Lord), he is not experienced in interpretation. This is not my opinion. He says so himself, that he has never had prophetic dreams before.

Often, the Holy Spirit allows us to have fear-based dreams so we will bring those fears to Him. Not all dreams are prophecies, even for a Prophet.

Another thing, dreams contain both literal and symbolic imagery. It takes time, lots of time, to work out your own symbolic dream language and to learn the difference. Ecclesiastes warns dreamers not to speak before they’ve worked them out.

“For the (prophetic) dream hath come (been understood) by abundance of business (hard work), and the voice of a fool by abundance of words.” Ecclesiastes 5:3

Something I try to live by, as a new prophetic dreamer of only a few years: 1) be 100% sure you know what you’ve seen before revealing it, and 2) calm yourself emotionally before sharing bad news. People need leaders to exhibit strength and confidence in the Lord even in the face of crisis.

Again, I apologize for anyone I hurt by sharing Dana’s videos. I was too quick to share them before allowing the Lord to speak to my spirit on the subject.

As for the future, know the Lord is with us. Stay in Him, stay in prayer.

I’ve told you this so that my peace will be with you. In the world you’ll have trouble. But be of good cheer! I have overcome the world.” (Jesus – John 16:33)

Expect miracles, especially when surrendered, filled with His Spirit (ask Him every day), and praying “without ceasing” (i.e., ongoing). Remember Who our Bridegroom is, the Lion of Judah, and He is for us!
